“P.O.P Pitti Optical Power”, is the theme of the forthcoming edition of Pitti Uomo.
Colour is the key. No black and white austerity in Fortezza da Basso but a kaleidoscope of full colour patterns to make living interiors playful and hypnotic.
“Pitti Optical Power presents a witty and creative full-color graphic world“, says Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine.
This edition will be held in Florence from 12 to 15 June 2018, boasts 1,240 brands, 561 of which hail from abroad (45%), and is a curated geography of spaces focusing on venues that emphasize research in today’s menswear and that are heavily geared towards the future of fashion.
Roberto Cavalli will be the special guest of this 94th edition, which with its runway show at Certosa del Galuzzo launches its first men’s collection designed by new Creative Director Paul Surridge.
The guest designer of Pitti Uomo will instead be Craig Green, who will present his new summer collection with an exclusive runway show, mixing workwear influences and futuristic volumes, while the casualwear concept will be the protagonist of the project staged by Japanese fashion designer, Fumito Ganryu.
